Love the sleep display effect

I haven't seen this posted anywhere--just thought I'd say how cool I think the effect looks when the sleep button is pressed. I love that retro CRT-like flash off!

A lot of phones utilize that effect, as well as different roms. But yes, it is very cool.

My previous phone was the Droid Incredible, whose screen would just turn off. Yawn.

I like it too. It was never like that on my DroidX. It's nothing special just different.

Probably because it isn't a RAZR feature. Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it was a feature introduced with Gingerbread.

You are correct - this feature debuted December 2010, when the Nexus S was released.

I figured it wasn't exclusive to Moto, but I can tell you it didn't show up when my HTC Droid Incredible was upgraded to Gingerbread.

Yeah, it gets removed by a lot of OEMs for some reason.

Are any of your window animations working? Check Settings->Display->Animation, and see if "All window animations are shown."

Omg thanks i saw that earlier and thought it was checked. And just checked it out and unchecked. Working now thanks
