I just love my N7, but I found the speaker volume to be pretty weak for my liking. Well I found the solution with a free app called SpeakerBoost. This app works great!

Volume+ is what I've been using. I think only the simple volume setting is recommended right now but it's all I would use anyway.

I haven't had any issues with the sound coming from the speaker or headphones. I might try one of these and "see" if the difference is significant for me.

I'm not having any issues at all with low volume but if you want to boost up the sound definitely install one of the programs mentioned above.

The simple volume mode works, I did state that I didn't think the rest was working yet. Well I guess I said not recommended. But anyway, simple mode does work.

I've noticed the volume is a bit low as well. With ear buds the highest is comfortable, but just a hair low for the songs I want to jam. I have good hearing (I'm very careful with the volume especially with ear buds) so I can imagine to some it would be too low. It seems a little inconsistent with games also but I think that's in the programing of each game. The game volume is higher than the media volume for sure.

Speaker sucks on the Nexus. Like you have to be using it in pitch quiet room to hear it comfortably for me. Headphone volume is fine though.

I just got my n7 for Xmas and the volume is low, i hate my Samsung Galaxy ace for needing most things turned way down, and forgetting my settings rawr, but my n7 needs a boat. I'll go try both, cheers. Great community, getting lots of Good info here jahh

According to Google Play, Volume + has this warning:
A Cyanogen Mod 7 or MIUI ROM is HIGHLY recommended. Running this app on a Stock ROM/Kernel may result in it not working, being far too quiet, or getting even quieter.

My volume has suddenly become much lower listening out of the speaker. Not sure if the speakers are dying or not. It looks like getting the unit repaired by Asus will be a PIA.

Maybe related to this... I just bought my N7, noticing that when I wake it up and play music (Pandora ), the volume is rather low (isn't playing at the level it was when put to sleep) but then, within 30-60 seconds seems to return to the last volume level... any ideas what's happening or how to adjust? Thanksl
