Lower resolution of pictures

Hi,

I have just bought the Motorola X Play and I am very happy with it.
I understand that for some people resolution of pictures is important, but in my case it's quite the opposite. I don't really take pics and when I do it's just to quickly share stuff which I believe could be useful info for somebody.

Even if I crop them before sending, they are still huge ( bytewise ) and they use up more data than necessary.

Is there a way to lower the resolution of the camera, or of the resulting images?

Welcome to Android Central! Stock camera apps usually don't have an option to reduce the resolution significantly. You could try a 3rd party camera app like Camera MX.

You can select 16:9 wide screen one in the stock camera app. It will take less space than the default one....
