LS670ZVJ Update Coming 4/4

I've tried both the LG update tool and the phone's Update System and both are returning with most current version.

Running stock ZVD, System Updates still says no updates available... I'm going to try and compile the source code in an hour or so.

Yes. It still says its up to date

That's correct. The source is not the update.zip, but could be used by the devs to help with ROM building.

I have, have also checked via LG Update tool - nothing yet. Checked both by my "play" phone (before I got my E4GT) and the wife's phone (still active).

If it solves the call volume alone it will be worth it. It is my wife's #1 complaint about this phone.

My biggest annoyance from zvh was the double tapping screen bug. It's what finally drove me to downgrade. I'm a bit worried because it doesn't say anything about them fixing that in zvj...

Correct me if I'm wrong but this was fixed in Drew's kernel tweaks..? So even if it wasn't resolved by LG it shouldn't be hard to replicate the solution to the kernel source released with ZVJ...

My personal - and it seems with any Android device - are the "phantom" touches on any device I seem to get, including my E4GT. Often it means calling someone I didn't want to call, which is rather inconvenient when I have to say "It's not me, is the @&!# phone!!":-!

I know its "official", but I have a hard time getting excited for this release, as the custom ROMS released for ZVD/ZVH will blow anything LG puts out out of the water.

Make a NAND of stock for Profile/PRL updates, do that once a month.

Other then that, the curiosity is shocking. I hope LG does this phone as much justice as our awesome devs.....

This update will help create much cleaner stock Gingerbread ROMs. Even on the awesome ZVH based ROMs there were still issues with volume, charging, etc. that could not be fixed without official update help.

And yeah I got all the screen bs...sometimes it would not respond, sometimes it would double tap, and sometimes it just did whatever it felt like :/

Oh I agree, I'm just curious to try it out. And I can't wait to see what the devs will eventually do with it

Yes we will have to wait. There is always the possibly that the current way of rooting will not work.

Yeah I was wondering about that. I just don't wanna mess something up since this is my only phone. I'll probably wait until someone tests it first.

No worries, it's part of the reason I held on to my Opt S after I upgraded to the E4GT. Figured before I try any more changes on my wife's phone (which she hates!) I'll test them first on mine. In the worst case I'm out nothing as it's just sitting on my desk most days.

Just got a notification of a new update on my Optimus S.....when i chose to update, I got a message that the link was not a trusted site????, but willing to go on with the update, I pressed continue......the browser went blank and stayed that way......After about five minutes, I backed out to <home> and still waiting for any update.......<about phone> tells me that I'm still at LS670ZVH and that I am up to date.....will update this status if something changes.....

I got that too. All it does is take you to the sprint site to tell you that there is going to be a software update. It's not the actual update, sadly.

For me it is saying I have the update download available but whenever I go to download it almost immediately says "download failed"
