LTE and turbo, Chicago area

am thinking about the droid turbo, however I love having voice and data at the same time on my maxx. I get decent LTE around Chicago, some areas its 3g or 1X only. Does the turbo get good LTE? If I use advanced calling, I can use voice and data at the same time, if not then I can't?

Turbo is a slightly more of everything the Maxx is.

Conan,you should have no problems. I remember you from RMHD forums. As long as you live or travel in a decent 4g area you shouldn't have issues.

Yes, that's correct. However, think of it this way: even on the Maxx in a 3G or 1x area, you can't do voice and data at the same time. The only advantage the Maxx has is that it will hold a phone call when you go from an area with good LTE to one with only 3G. For now, advanced calling will drop the call when you lose LTE.

That is correct. I don't use advanced calling because of this. I live wayyyyyy outside Chicago and anywhere I travel can switch from 4g to 3g several times. I never activated it because of this. The closer to Chicago the less this will happen.

Depends where you're at. I'm in Will County and have Advanced Calling activated and it works everywhere I go.

I am in Lasalle County, which is way out in the sticks too and I have no problems with AC.

In Mchenry county, using AC, 3 bars of 4g, I'm in Harvard not the town itself but in the out skirts of town. Going into the city my signal gets stronger and always 4g. The only issues with reception tend to be on the south side of the city.

My LTE signal strength is great here at home on the North Side. Only place I have any issues at all is deep in my office downtown.

I have no issues in and around Chicago. LTE is strong in the loop, Cook County, Lake County, and DuPage County. This is where I am usually traveling. I have dropped maybe 3 calls since the original LTE update in January.
