Problem is that there is something messed up with the speedtest app and LTE

Yes, they consistently give us very optimistic numbers and always have. Spin around in the chair, and get a whole other set. And with a 240ns ping time, it would be extremely doubtful that 39Mbps would be transferred regardless. That server is a ways away. Now now, don't anybody get mad and start throwing out random facts. I didn't say it was impossible, just not likely.

Speakeasy.net is giving more realistic numbers (and similar to the 4G laptop at bestbuy that I tried back in December).

Houston

I've tested a number of times...

Up: 10.94 Down: 29.12
Up: 11.40 Down: 25.85
Up: 12.72 Down: 20.81

Three tests about 15 min apart.

The Speed you are getting on your thunderbolt

The Speed you are getting on the new verizon thunderbolt is the same one i get on my verizon fios 25/25 Mbps

If someone figures out how to get free wifi tethering without rooting the phone, I'd buy them lunch.
These speeds on a phone are unreal.
We'll see what they're like once the network is really being used day to day.

I did mine online with no app. I think the app is off a lil'.
Down 27mbps
Up 8mbps
