Still no luck. I feel like I've tried everything.... I've restarted my phone and computer several times. I have also tried restarting the computer with the phone plugged in. I've toggled USB debugging and Disk Drive several times and I still can't seem to get adb to list my device. I've even tried changing USB cables and switching USB ports.
I want to figure this out, because I went back and found that in other procedures (here and elsewhere) that a percentage of Mac OSx users were having the same issue as you.
So...
- Leave the TB plugged into your Mac and the terminal window open.
- Reboot Thunderbolt
- Does your Mac display a popup that says "New Network Found "?
- If it does, click cancel.
- Go back to terminal and retry ./adb devices.
Still doesn't work?
- Open up System Preferences on your Mac. (applications > system preferences)
- Click on Network
- Grab a capture of what you see (like mine below) and paste it here.
- If there's something there that looks obviously related, try deleting it.

Still doesn't work?
I'm uploading a procedure on how to install the latest SDK. I didn't want to use that in the procedure -- because it adds a layer of complexity -- but if that's what it takes to resolve the rare cases like yours, then so be it.
