Macbook Pro cannot access Xoom storage

I cannot detect or access the internal Xoom storage using my Macbook Pro laptop (1st unibody model) connected via micro USB cable. In Windows XP it is detected immediately. Anyone else notice their Xooms not detected by Mac computers?
