Magnetic mount

Random question, but since the phone is an all metal body, would it stick to a magnetic vent mount such as this with no plate present? Dont want to have to put a metal plate on the back of my phone, and I keep it naked.

I wouldn't try it. Also aluminium isn't magnetic

No, it's aluminium.

Can you imagine how heavy and unwieldy these phones would be if they were made from steel?

Oh didn't realize it was aluminum. Thanks guys. Think I can put the metal disc that comes with the vent mount under a dbrand skin?

Probably, but it will likely look a bit weird and severely reduce the lifespan of the skin.

I use a magnet car mount and had to add a plate. The plate fits inside the OEM sandstone case.
