AC Question

The mail app on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 continually hangs and crashes after Android 4.4.4 was pushed onto my phone by Sprint yesterday. I cannot receive, send, delete, etc.

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to the App Manager, select Email, and Clear Cache, then Force Stop. If that doesn't work, you may have to Clear Data, but I think that means you'd have to set up your email accounts again.

The other thing to try would be to boot into Recovery and wipe the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-9049

I have the same problem. I just took the update and now the mail app crashes constantly. I've went to app manager to clear cache and went through recovery to wipe cache. Still crashing. No root

Hmm. Try clearing the cache and data from Exchange Services as well. Or consider removing all email accounts from the Email app, then adding them back again.

Bad updates are the responsibility of the carrier. Bring your phones into the carrers and ask them to at least reflash the update and, if that doesn't work, replace the phone with one that does.

They broke it, they're responsible for it.
