maintenance update download location

I've deleted most of the crapware off my phone. Is there an easy way to get them back so I can do the update? Will doing a factory rest bring them back?

I am a little bit confused with the whole process and language of updating when rooted; if somebody has the time could you please outline the process in regular language?

Thanks so much!

Agreed... I restored all the crapware so that I'm ready to install the update.
I know how to install the update from the microsd...
then everybody says "all you have to do is restore clockwork via hboot"
and that's the part I'm not sure about. I'm still looking through forums to find instructions on how to do that, but if somebody were to explain all this stuff in one step-by-step post, I'm sure we aren't the only ones that would really really appreciate it.

EDIT: Just found this: Applying November 2010 OTA to STOCK 2.2/FroYo rooted Incredible http://solo.dc3.com/dinc/

Ugh. No.

Look, you are already rooted- you have S-off. You just dont have anything that can take advantage of that. So all you need to do is find zips of clockwork and SU, then rename them PB31IMG.zip and flash them through HBOOT, one at a time. If you can't find them, I have them.
Actually I did end up losing root but got it back using the x4 root app and it updated my SU.. Even if you have S Off does not necessarily mean you are rooted.. the only thing that S Off does is allow you to flash custom roms without have to re root each time but it does not stop a rom that was meant to break root from doing so..

Jeez that process looks involved. Luckily, I can't seem to restore the "backed up" bloatware apps (thanks Titanium Backup) so looks like I can't do that lengthy process.

Why can't someone just do a kernel+whatever makes it think it's updated? Do we really need any of the other junk? What, we *want* the Verizon app store? OMG SLACKER I CAN'T GET THAT ANYWHERE ELSE

Try sending any file larger than 5Mb with your Email after the November "Update" , it's no longer possible !!

im using windows vista and when i rename the file update.zip it ended up being renamed update.zip.zip i kept getting abort error until i just named it update and somehow the system adds the .zip

I tried this and it didn't work. What could I be doing wrong? I've tried numerous times.

It's a link for Froyo that is 2 years old. I doubt Google still has a Froyo link active.

What update are you looking for ?
