Major Bionic Issues, Anyone else?

I had one of the strangest things happen to mine. It was on and sitting on the counter I go to bring the screen on, nothing. Hold down the power button, nothing. It vibrated a couple times but still nothing. I gave it 5 minutes to see of anything would happen and surprise, nothing! I went and pulled the battery and the stupid battery cover feels like I'm going to break it under any kind of force. Pulled, restarted, never happened again. Crazy though!

I have had my bionic since the 12th and have had issues with connectivity. Keeps going from 4g to 3g to no internet at all. It does this all day no matter where i am. I took it in yesterday and had them swap it out and this one is no better. Have had the screen lock up and have had to leave it on 3g so i can just use it without battery drain. Also have had issues with the market and had to pull the battery three times today. Really unhappy with it so far. My old droid x had no issues and i regret buying this one so far....

The issue with the switching from 4G to 3G etc. happens on the Charge and Tbolt too.

I got mine on 9/14/11 on my first phone call there was a crackling noise (rice crispy on milk) while on a call. Tech tells me to do a master reset and it's fine for 1 day then problem again. So they tell me to send it back and i received my new one on 9/21/11, it was fine until today 9/23/1. Problem started when trying to text and it freezes up and also starts ghost typing. It's like the whole system was in slow motion. I just now finished with a master reset and I'm still having a problem. I try to press on an icon and it will not respond.

A friend of mine is returning his. Just isn't happy with it. He tried to like it. Said it reboots constantly. The camera and video aren't good. His BT is very statically too.

Everyone has their preferences and expectations. I purchased the Thunderbolt, and remembered why I dislike HTC so much. They design phones that under powered and have batteries that flat out stink. I have yet to own a phone that doesn't do random reboots, or freeze up and reboot at times.

Is that a problem with the phone, or with an app that was installed on the phone? Or could it be that the phone was rooted by it's owner only to have something removed that is needed for the smooth operation of the phone.

My Charge would freeze up rather regularly and reboot itself as well.

No phone is perfect.

In that case, please follow whichever link best applies to you:

Further attempts to incite negative reactions here will be handled in the appropriate manner.

Go ahead and handle what you have to...You should be ashamed to be a mod on a forum like this. These good people, old or young.. have been jerked into buying another "latest and greatest" android phone which AGAIN doesn't work correctly. I'm telling you, If the software is no good the hardware WILL NOT make up for it. Look at the thread you're in and tell me who really has the negative reactions. Nothing but problems as always.

It is android is what the problem is..it drains battery, it freezez, it lags, etc. take an htc phone that runs wp7 or whatever os and none of these problems exist.

It's not often I would suggest banning someone, but this troll just keeps posting nonsense. This is an Android forum. If you really want to spout crap like this, there are better sites for it.

I've had my bionic for a couple days now, and of the problems listed, the only one I've had is the apps bring messed up by moving them to the "media storage". It's not the SD the apps are going to apparently, but another partition of internal storage. The apps also don't disappear, but seem to be renamed, and that breaks them. For instance, pulse will become .com.android.pulse, or something line that.

I am having an audio problem, not from my headphone Jack, it sounds fine. But the audio when mirroring using hdmi is so choppy it is unintelligible. It just stutters horribly, not one second is normal. It doesn't matter if it's netflix or youtube I'm watching. I have only need with it a limited amount, ago maybe a restart will fix it, I hope. Anyone else with this issue?

Other than that this phone is 90% amazing.

Im getting the data drop issue as well, no solution I have seen yet.

Another annoying issue is the com.motorola.service.main force close that is happening several times pee day. Doesn't seem to effect anything running, just keeps happening. other than those two issues the phone is awesome.

I read elsewhere that the is an issue with Apps2SD which hasn't been updated for this phone yet, sit tignt I am sure the fix is on the way :-)

There is only one problem I've encountered with the Bionic. I'm flabbergasted nobody has even mentioned it, because its a software design flaw, and I promise EVERYONE has it.

mount /sdcard

Fatal flaw on Motorola's part

Its fun to watch all you people people complain about piddly **** like the phreaking audio. Seriously? MOTOROLA has decided the standard in which the SDcard is mounted needs to be changed.

That's like Dell saying, phuck it, the main hard drive on all our windows systems won't be c:/ its gonna be h:/
Won't our idiot users LOVE this?!?!

I'm amazed Motorola did this, and I'm amazed 99% of Bionic and D3 users don't give a ****. Its crazy!!!!

I too am having data issues. Lose the data for long periods and have to reboot to get it back.

I emailed Motorola about the audio "hiss" issue and complained about the general buggyness of the phone as a whole. They said they would forward the audio hiss issue to their tech team to see if it is a hardware or software issue. They also said I may RMA the phone but I told them I won't until I can be guarranteed to get one without the "hiss". By the way, I too also have the data issues. You would think they would've seen half of these bugs during testing...

Is it Apps2SD, or is it each individual app and their developers needing to update them to the tweaks that have been made to the OS on the Bionic?

Now that you mention it I assumed it was Apps2SD because there is a free verion and people seem to be using that but I guess it could be all of the apps. I hope not because this does not seem to effect other phones with the same OS (ie Droid 3).
