So, does the higher pressure resolution (4096 levels) come from the SPen or the screen?

If I'm not mistaken it comes from the spen. I just grabbed my old note7 spen and swapped the tips from the replacements I got with the note 8. Works like a charm.

Note 7 **IMO** was a better looking device. Still not a fan of the curved screen but it definitely looked better to me.

They were for a goof I did from Google images I found. I don't know if hi res are available. Some of them look ok set as wallpaper.

Did anyone restore there N7 Smart Switch backup to their N8?

I loved my Note 7 so much I'm trying to slowly turn my Note 8 into my old Note 7. I got the same screen protector and case as I did on the 7. Today I download the same notification sound I had and I even have action memo back. I'm going to look for some more notification sounds I had on the 7 heck maybe the same ringtones. Point is I really miss my old Note 7. I know that the 8 is just as good if not better than the 7 was but this way it still feels like I have the 7 in the body of the Note 8. I should try if I can use my old s pen and see if that works on here. Has anyone tried that yet?

By this description, I guess I turned my phones into my N4. The wallpapers change, but ring tones, notifications, phone/text sounds haven't changed.
