Malfunctioning parts of menu following Android 5.1.1 update

Following a recent factory reset and then an update to 5.1.1, my Galaxy J5 has been more issue-ridden than ever before.

Now certain parts of the screen are whited out, often menus/buttons that then cannot be seen. This whiting out is random and flickers with touching the screen. It happens across almost all apps.

Any help please?
