i own a galaxy note 10 plus, and about 1 month ago, someone who owns a galaxy note 9 lost his S pen and told me he bought one from like ebay or something but that it wasn't working properly and he wanted me to try it in my phone.

So i inserted it into my galaxy s10 plus and it connected and it seemed to work just fine.

I want to know if it's possible for someone to install malicious software onto your phone through an s pen or can an s pen syphon out important info like private keys etc.?
Nothing seems different with the phone. Is it possible for an s pen to install anything at the kernel level or again, possible for it to steal info from your phone? my gut tells me no, but would lime to k ow for sure...

Something is off. S9s don't have S Pens. The Note 9 spen is totally different than the note 10s. I'm confused, but no, S Pens don't hold any programs.

Size wise is was exactly the same and it fit perfectly onto my note s 10 plus slot.

So your saying that an s pen cannot install software, not even a rouge one? i would imagine your correct. i just wanted to get others opinions.

It probably didnt work in his 9 because it was a 10 spen. They're not the same.

S Pens hold no software. Your safe.

So would a Note 9 s-pen fit perfectly into the Note 10+? I have a few extra lying abound. I know the s-pen from the 9 has Bluetooth has well. Not sure what Note 10 s-pen can do differently than the one from the Note 9.

No, the Note 9 S-Pen does not fit into the Note 10+. It only goes in about an inch.
