Manual USB Connect?

So today i was out and about and I broke my LCD. Ive been trying to figure out how maybe i can connect to it to retrieve my sms messages because ive got some very important stuff on there.
Is there a way to maunually connect to it using the computer? and i am rooted.

Okay if not, is it possible to completely wipe the phone somehow without using the screen?
