Manually Update to LG8 unrooted phones only.

That is nice to know. Yet another reason I am more than satisfied with my S3. I've never shopped for microSD, any tips for brand, attributes, what not to get, etc? I'll go 64 gb for sure.

Just installed and will see what works for mine. Thanks for giving us the files!

I must say, this is the first time that it has taken forever to get the update. Usually I do a manual check and an update pops up, not with this one though. Weird.

I got sick of waiting, so I updated manually. Only had one issue: Application Monitor from Samsung's App Store stopped working after the update. I deleted and reinstalled. Works fine now.

So since we have a new Messages app, does it feel any smoother than the old one? The current one gets a bit herky jerky with it's animations. I am just glad I won't have to save pics anymore to look at them. Interesting also that they moved the attach button to the left. Has anyone seen any other changes? Did overall phone smoothness improve?

I just noticed that... the change in the attachment button. Very nice improvement. I was so used to the old layout on my Epic 4G (Galaxy S) that I would always hit it instead of the send button.

Thanks for the info. Went smooth as butter.

Did this last night and worked great. What happens if the update pushes to the phone? Do you decline it?

If you are now at LG8, you shouldn't get the update notice. If you do just decline it.

It fixed lte connection issues, mms issues, notification issues and made improvements on voice recognition and added a brightness slider to the notification dropdown. I may have forgotten a few. This was the 1st update that actually fixed anything.

Better life is highly dependent on how you use your phone. My phone is rarely picked up at work with the exception of breaks and lunch (1 hour total). But I use the piss out of it when I get home. It normally lasts me the whole day.
