Here's an interesting perspective:

Let's say the average survey takes 30 seconds to fill out with an average payment of $0.15. That works out to $18/hr if you were doing surveys the entire time. How are those earnings somehow less valuable than $18/hr at a job? Sure, you can only spend them in the play store, but they still took work to earn and they hold equal dollar value.

Btw, the reason a grocery store wouldn't take back food is more to do with health codes than anything. If it's general merchandise, many stores do accept unconditional returns or exchanges within certain time frames.

And the Play store issues refunds as well, in a set time frame, laid out in the terms, just like a store. Miss the time frame for return, no refund, pretty simple.

Going back too what Mooncat said earlier... How can you Tell in that short of time that it was going to be a battery drainer? Google used to give you a day I think? The time they gave was not sufficient.

And I stand by my point... The theme is not the cause of the battery drain. Iit's the theme engine or something conflicting for you. I don't recall any battery drain issues mentioned in the XDA thread where the are many more users of his themes.

So not only do they lose money... They lose product. This case he has NOTHING to lose... NOTHING AT ALL.

In the end, it is his decision if he wants to give me a refund. He was in here a lot before All this and now he is no where to be seen. If I had to guess he is sitting back and enjoying the show. Lol. But and here is the BIG BUT...... I get to post a review about it since i bought it. I am not a spiteful person, but this is starting to get a bit old and has now become a matter of principle and not $1.49.

I read some of the comments at xda, not all were good...

The only reason you get to keep the screen protectors with the refund is because it cost more to ship them back than it costs to manufacture them.

And how do you know it doesn't cost him any money? Google already denied your refund and have taken their fee on the sale. If he decides to give you a refund, does Google then change their mind and refund the fee? Or do they keep the fee and he's on the hook for the whole amount?

That's actually not my concern or problem. That's the sellers problem. I sold a lot on eBay previously and I had to takes losses... That's part of selling. If he didn't expect waves... He should have offered them for free. He already sold some so he is ahead of the game the way i see it.

It's his problem to take a loss since you want a refund on your monopoly money outside the clearly stated refund window?
 
That's pretty sad that you would be OK costing him money when you knowingly missed the refund window. Especially since you haven't spent any of your own actual money.

What about All the times I lost money and product shipping overseas because customs lost the item and when the post office lost the item and because they paid via PayPal i was liable?

Again, it's not my fault I had to wait hours to find out there are battery issues with it. This is what comes along with being a seller.. No wait.. The creator of the actual item of sale! He made the product, he should stand behind it 110%! If you aren't ready to handle the bad that comes along with the good... Plain and simple don't produce a product to sell. What about all the profit he made from the ones he sold? What about that? I don't Feel sorry at all nor that you opened my eyes even more to all this.

In fact you are just solidifying the fact that if it does not work out in my favor...I am posting a bad review so thank you for the push of confidence. Thank you for that ego boost.

I don't use themes, don't know the Dev, but if I want to voice my opinion then I will.

You are pissed off because Google stood firm on their refund policy and won't give back your $1.49 in monopoly money that you got for free by answering surveys. Something you knew nothing about until someone mentioned it in this thread. So if you had never signed up for Rewards you would have never purchased the theme because you don't use credit cards. You aren't out any money yet you are on here threatening the Dev that you will post a negative review on Google Play. Yeah, I'm going to call you out on that.
