Market problems from phone

I rooted and installed Das BAMF 1.6.3 last night.

Market started populating my apps, and appeared to bottleneck at some point. Installed just a few of the apps and then hung up.

Starts download, Getting "download was unsuccessful" error.

Wifi-3G, doesn't matter.

Restarted, pulled battery, cleared market cache, reformatted Sd card.

Even did a factory reset, which I thought worked, but it only seems to work up to the point where it downloads the new market, then it hangs again.

The funny thing is, I can use the market on the web just fine to send apps to my phone. Doing it this way functions perfectly.

So I am wondering if I have a bad install of the market app itself.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I don't even want to admit all that I did trying to get this to work. Then I got mad, pulled the battery and let it sit for an hour.

It works now.

I had that same issue when I updated to 1.6.3 remix, most of my apps were restored but a few got hung up. I stopped each download individually, restarted each one & they downloaded fine, minor hiccup but it didn't take much to fix it

Yeah Patriots Fan. This is related to the issue I was having last week when I rooted. remember. Well it has happened to me twice since and both times it was because I did a factory reset and both times (one of the times Patriotsfan helped) I tried everything under the sun to get it to work. Even emailing Google.
So far the best solution I've found was NOTHING!! I mean it seems like if you leave it alone for a long time it will work again. I didn't get it to work in an hour like you did. I wander if that is because I have over 250 apps stored. Ive had to leave mine over night and it seemed to start working.....

Yea, I remember. HOLY crap!!! over 250!!! Dang. I just fear that this will keep happening. Not just when you rooted possibly when you flash a rom and factory reset in the process. Do you need all the 250 or are majority of them (like 100-150) just apps you tried and didnt like?

Try spreading out the app weight amongst Amazon, applanet and the Market. I am glad however that you got it to work. I did read about your force closing fiasco!
