I have 2 Samsung Epic's. Occasionally I notice certain apps show up on my Epic when searched but they don't show on my wifes Epic.

1) Both are rooted and running the same custom rom
2) I tried clearing the cache and app memory on the market app in my wifes phone but its still not showing certain apps I can search on my phone.

Any suggestions?

Edit: Note we have Market v 2.2.6 installed on both phones.

Are you both on the same Android Version....2.1, 2.2? If you have a lower version of Android, certain apps won't show up in the market.

Yes, as I stated in my OP. Both on same rom, DK28 Froyo/rooted/Bonsai v1.0.4 rom

I am aware that different versions of OS will cause that to happen, same with different manufacturers can cause certain apps to not show.

My guess would be that maybe not every phone function properly being rooted. If it bothers her that much.. then try unrooting the device and see how that favors for her.

If clearing out cache and data didn't work - then maybe reverting the phone Back to its original state might work.

Good luck.

Ps. Try this first >> Turn device off, then remove/reinsert battery.. uninstall/reinstall market and see if that fix the problem.

Thanks I will try that suggestion when I get a hold of my wife's phone again. I figured clearing the cache/app memory would fix the problem, but I will get that a shot too.

Update: I reflashed the rom and it resolved the market issue.

Not what I wanted to do, but it worked.

Thanks for anyone who responded.
