Marshmallow?

Agree, but I am still going back to Nexus when the new ones come out later this year.

Upgrade to MM basically smooth although front end not really all that different. But one "feature" is driving me crazy. I use my phone as an alarm clock and keep it plugged in all night, with the daydream feature enabled. After the update, it now notifies me (loudly) when the battery is full. I don't need that at 2 in the morning. Is there a way to turn that off? I'm on call most nights so I can't turn phone off or turn off notifications but who needs the silly "battery is full" notification??? Anyone have a solution? Thanks.

I updated last night, so far so good. I have the Idol3 flip cover, and I think they improved that feature when you close the flip considerably, I am happy so far with the MM update.

This is only for unlocked phones. Mine is locked to Cricket. They are very BAD about upgrades. But maybe i will get lucky. Yea, and the dish ran away with the spoon.

BEWARE--If you install the update and your carrier is AT&T, you will lose any data connection through AT&T. You can make calls, and utilize a wifi connection, but NO data through AT&T. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with Alcatel, and all they recommend is doing a complete factory reset.

Sounds like an issue with the APN settings. I don't see AT&T in the list. Have you tried setting up a new APN?

For some reason the update isnt coming down on my Idol 3. When i check for updates its telling me my software is up to date.

You were correct about the APN settings. No one could fix it at Alcatel or AT&T. I just went in & checked the one that said AT&T phone, turned off WiFi, and everything works on the network now. Thanks again.

Everything is much smoother on MM. No more lag.

So far the new stuff I've noticed:

(1) Doze
(2) system UI tuner
(3) color temperature options
(4) new reversible animation
(5) double press power button to launch camera
(6) new lock screen shortcuts
(7) app permission settings
(8) adoptable storage
(9) new weather app

Did you have to unlock your phone to get the update? I'm on cricket and I'm hoping I don't have to figure out how to unlock to just get an update

I have the Cricket Idol 3 also and I am not sure when we will get Marshmallow. I have been unable to get an answer from Cricket.
