I've had my share of issues with the Maxx but nothing so severe that I would give up this phone. I've had thoughts due to notification glitches and Bluetooth static but in the end all day battery life no matter the usage holds me. Plus, what you said above also does. This is why I didn't rip on the device too much in my contribution to the "Ambassador Device Guide". All in all the phone isnt without issues but find me a piece of technology that is.

Don't want to hijack this thread, but was hoping someone with more technical knowledge could respond. Is it feasible that any Verion Moto X ROM could be used or easily converted to be used on the Droid Maxx HD? If there had to be some conversion involved, do you think that could be done my a properly designed app or Xposed Framework Mod?
Now, back on topic. I agree with everything the OP has said and have also thought the Maxx has a lot going for it. However, I am concerned about Google, Verizon's, and 3rd Party Developer Support.
I would love the larger screen of the Maxx, but the battery life would be less of an issue for me, since the X already has good battery life and, I am rarely, if ever, unable to charge my phone within a 12-16 hour period.
I don't flash my phone or root and rom continuously, but I like to have options to get updates, without having to wait or hope that the carriers and OEMs will allow it.
It's more important for me than awesome battery life or a bigger screen. Since the X is Google's baby and available on more carriers, I am concerned it may receive updates long after the Maxx.
