Okay, I had to reset my Pixel Watch. I KNOW that I had a tile or app or something that when opened would show my Heart Rate and then if I scrolled down I could MEASURE my heart rate at that time. For the life of me (and my heart) I cannot find that THINGIE that allowed measurement. I don't know if it was a sub-app of Fitbit or standalone. I was sure if was native to the watch....

Any help appreciated.

There is a heart rate tile, but I don't remember seeing an option to check heart rate. It's my understanding that Google locked the continuous heart rate on the watch, so it can't be turned off to save battery, as Apple allows.

I use a watch face that has the heart rate on it, so I can always see at a glance what my heart rate is.

I have Google Fit installed on my phone and watch and I'm able to measure my heart rate from my watch via the Fit Heart rate app.

I do believe there was a third party app, Cardiogram, or something like that but I uninstalled it.

Also from the Watch app on the phone, you can add a tile to the watch.

Pixel 6 Pro with Pixel Watch.
