Media saving on SD Card question

I have my media set to save to my SD card.

I note that the "Downloads, Screenshots, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsAp" albums, ie stuff I save from those places, or images I download from sms, web or screenshots, don't save to the media card.

Is there a way to force those albums to be created and saved on the SD card?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

I don't think there is. You can use a file explorer or Google photos to move them manually as and when necessary.

Each app has its own settings, so you'd have to look in Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and WhatsAp to see if they have a "save location" setting. Downloads, screenshots and SMS default to internal storage, and the only way to change that would be something like an app that switches internal and external mounts. But then all your apps would be installed to your SD card (as would Android), and that's not good. (If the SD card goes, you lose everything. And SD cards aren't designed to take the amount of writing that eMMC - the storage in the phone, is.)

Thank you for all the replies. I'll do some menu exploring over the weekend. Cheers all!
