Media volume resets when I turn on bluetooth earpiece

While I appreciate Samsung's concern for my hearing, I am already extremely hard of hearing and need every bit of extra volume. I can reset media volume as long as the bluetooth earpiece is not turned on, but as soon as I turn it on, it resets to a little more than half way up. Does anyone know how to change this?

I had issues with my bluetooth volume with my truck since I want the media volume set to full blast when it connects to my truck so that I can keep my truck radio at a normal volume. The app A2DP Volume ended up working for me. It allows you to set options for what happens when you connect bluetooth devices or wired headphones. In your case, you could set it up so that when your bluetooth earpiece connects to the S6, the volume will get set to full (or anything you like). Additionally, you won't get the volume warning.

unashamed geek,
Thank you for that idea. I think it would be great if it would work, but there seems to be an override on the s6 to keep that from happening. I may not have checked the right boxes, but here is what I have when I check edit in my earpiece:

Set media volume on connect
ramp volume up
start app on connect
stop app on disconnect
also connect to bluetooth device (# of my bluetooth device)
connected icon: bluetooth

Do you see anything that should be changed? I went into Developer options and could only see one thing that could be related---"Use Nu Player (experimental) instead of Awesome Player"

Doesn't seem like that would matter. Thanks a million for this idea.

edit: it does seem to get a little louder as the music for the media volume indicator plays, but it still shows the same in the volume settings for the phone.

I believe for what you want, you should set the "Set in-call phone volume on connect".

Thanks for bearing with me---it's the media volume that I want to change so I can see and hear videos on Facebook, for example. I have no trouble adjusting the in call volume for the bluetooth device, but the media volume will not budge. I did what you suggested for in call volume and it still didn't work. So I'm thinking that I may have to call Samsung. Thanks!

edit: Called Samsung. She said that my bluetooth earpiece is not compatible with the gs6, and tried to sell me a Samsung headset. She told me I could find the incompatibility on Samsung.com. If it's there, I couldn't find it. I'm not buying it. Everything else works but the volume control resets itself. I appreciate your help.

Got ya now. I'm not sure why your media setting isn't changing. This has worked for me and at least one other user in the forum. Maybe someone else will be able to chime in.

Called Samsung. She said that my bluetooth is incompatible with GS6. I'm not buying it, because everything else works. I just wants to reset that media volume. I wonder if it's because I have adjustable volume on my bluetooth. It's a couple of years old, but it works. Appreciate all of your help.
