So I know there was one post already related to this but no solution in that thread has worked, nor has any solution posted on various websites.

I wish I could just disable LG IMS as the frame work contributes to features of my phone I simply don't use, however I cannot find the place to do so nor the IP type most websites tell me to. Like I said I have a Stylo 4 so that may be the issue.

I also doubt it has to do with any particular app as a factory reset did not fix it.

I am at my wits end so either a detailed guide for disabling it or any other fixes would be greatly appreciated.

This worked on my LG G5.
After clearing cache and data I turned Wi-Fi calling off (I hardly use this) and no pop up for last 20 minutes.

I turned off Wi-Fi calling, set calling preference to cellular service, and the pop-ups stopped!

What a relief.

Phone: LG Stylo 4. Android Version 8.1, latest available for this phone, even after checking for system updates.

The error is stoppable by using a VPN external download not a version that comes with T Mobile .
I use one and no errors a friend has same phone no VPN and he gets the error message. It does work it has been tested.

I have an LG 4+ aristo with metro and this started a couple hours ago for me. Do not do a factory reset it won't help. T mobile has said on Twitter that they know of the issue and are "working on it" . you can try putting your device on airplane mode and also turn your Wi-Fi off some people have said doing those things will decrease how often you get the pop up.

LG Stylo 6 and boost mobile user here again, I haven't been getting the pop up since my last post but I still can't send or receive call or texts

Hi. Created an account just to post my work.
I’m an apple *****, but my wife is T-Mobile with a V30. Just started getting the message a few hours ago. Had to go in a specific order to get it to stop. Airplane mode with no connections (WiFi or data). Then com.lga.ims.rcsprovider, force stop then clear data. Stopped the messages for long enough to get into the “hidden menu” by dialing 277634#*# and IMS Settings>IP Version>IPV4V6. Then when I connected back to data and WiFi the messages haven’t come back. About 10mins since I did. Will update if the message returns.

Thank you so much this worked for me,

Well. Looks like after a power off and restart that the message comes back. The IMS settings were already IPV4V6. Tried back to V6V4 and message persists. Will try to put it back to V4V6 once wife let’s me have it back. Until the power restart, the message hadn’t appeared for over an hr.

So. After doing the process again. it works just as well the second time.

Try not to power off the phone after. Otherwise you have to repeat the settings force stop routine on both com-lg-ims-whatever system apps.

My phone's been good for almost 4 hours since doing this. I can call and text.

But I'm quite displeased with both LG and T-mobile. Note there is NO MENTION of this MASSIVE service outage anywhere on T-mobiles web site!!!

"Unfortunately, LG IMS has stopped"
Pops up every 5 seconds rendering this phone unusable. I have an LG G6, on T-Mobile. This message took an hour to write so I copied and pasted. Even registering was excruciating.

I have tried force stop. I have tried clearing cache.

I have tried the 277634#*# menu but the damn pop up kicks me out of that before I can do anything.

This is T-Mobile trying to get us to buy a new phone. Remember "Unfortunately, T-Mobile has stopped" from last year? It still happens occasionally but most people know the fix. So they did something we can't fix.

I hate T-Mobile.
I have boost Mobile and my LG Stylo 6 is doing the same thing that's widespread not just T-Mobile

LG Stylo6 on Metro by T-Mobile

I enabled Logging from the Hidden Menu, dial 277634#*# on the phone key pad
Log Service
Enable all Logs ( phone will reboot )

after a few of the Pop ups

Go Back in to the hidden menu
Log Service
Copy Log Files

You will now have a copy of all of the Logs in your logger folder.

Using Total Commander and a LAN connection
I Then Downloaded and went through the Logs.
It appears that LG shut down a service that the Phone tries to Connet to.
So the LG.IMS can't connect to this remote service and it Loops till it is terminated by the OS.
Once Terminated the Service is restarted and the process repeats.
Due to this Looping, The Phone gets very warm, and the Battery Drains fast.

05-23 00:42:01.754 1530 1891 W ActivityManager: Process com.lge.ims has crashed too many times: killing!
05-23 00:42:01.790 1530 2181 I ActivityManager: Process com.lge.ims (pid 22632) has died: sys PER
05-23 00:42:01.791 1530 2181 W ActivityManager: Scheduling restart of crashed service com.lge.ims/.server.ims.LGImsService in 0ms

So from the LOG, it all seems to be a problem on LG's side.
Some remote service is no longer available and can't be reached.???

Also. have Boost Mobile and an LG Stylo 6. I have been told T mobile was bought by Boost and Boost members will likely get this issue resolved first as they are trying to force T-mobile users to properly change to Boost as they have already been changing out the T-mobile towers to Boost towers but they apparently didn't properly inform people and even certain Boost members are affected by this due to more inadequacy on Boosts part.

Keep in mind I am just passing on what I was told by someone not in this forum so not sure how accurate any of this is but maybe someone might care to look into that?

Why can't my phone call out or receive calls

My phone will not allow calls out toyo receive calls lg ims also keeps popping up

I have Mint Mobile (Tmobile) a LG-V30 and LG-G7 I have the same problem. One phone I did a reset, didnt help. I have also tried every fix I have seen. No help. I can send txt if im fast but cant make or receive calls. The pop ups stop for a while but start again. Phones are unuseable.

I'm on an LG stylo also. This sucks. Epic fails/face palms for 10,000 years. LG only cares about LG display these days. They don't care about us phone clients much anymore.
