So I know there was one post already related to this but no solution in that thread has worked, nor has any solution posted on various websites.

I wish I could just disable LG IMS as the frame work contributes to features of my phone I simply don't use, however I cannot find the place to do so nor the IP type most websites tell me to. Like I said I have a Stylo 4 so that may be the issue.

I also doubt it has to do with any particular app as a factory reset did not fix it.

I am at my wits end so either a detailed guide for disabling it or any other fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Has not popped since. 15 minutes now.

that worked for my LG Stylo 4. It worked until I restarted and turned my Wifi back on then the message stared popping up again. Appears as long as I turn wifi OFF and do these steps and of course dont restart the phone it works

i was seriously about to go crazy. I thought it was just my phone. i have tried everything i can think of to get this fixed but nothing is working. i can send and receive text messages but cant call out. i have an lg stylo 6 and int keeps saying LG IMS keeps stopping. I am also with metropcs by t-mobile. we had storms come through last night here and i thought that maybe a tower went down that was causing the issue but my husband has a samsung phone also with metro and it is not giving him this message and he is having no issues.
 
Why does LG IMS keep stopping Aristo 5?

I have an LG Aristo 5 and I keep getting a pop-up message that says LG IMS Keeps stopping. I've tried the suggested methods on google but nothing seems to be working.
 
I've also experiencing the same Issues this morning. Been following this thread and the thread that led to this one with no success. I'll put down some details I've noticed incase it can help us solve this issue.

LG Stylo 5
Android Version 10
Software Version Q720TS20g
Model Number LM-Q720TS

-IMS issues are more frequent in apps such as "YouTube" and "Facebook" and most active in "Settings".

All I've noticed so far. I'll try to find out more since we know T-Mobile could care less about a few phones having issues.
 
Same here, mine is LG G8 Thinq. And it is eating up my battery like crazy.

Yes! Battery is draining about 10 percent per 5 to 10 minutes.

Have also found out I can't call out. Texting works though. Not sure if I can receive calls though.

Pops up every 5 seconds rendering this phone unusable. I have an LG Thinq G4, on T-Mobile.

Airplane mode then clear data then secret menu then switch protocol

I still hate T-Mobile


This message took an hour to write so I copied and pasted. Even registering was excruciating.

I have tried force stop. I have tried clearing cache.

I have tried the 277634#*# menu but the damn pop up kicks me out of that before I can do anything.

This is T-Mobile trying to get us to buy a new phone. Remember "Unfortunately, T-Mobile has stopped" from last year? It still happens occasionally but most people know the fix. So they did something we can't fix.

I hate T-Mobile.

I'm also experiencing this issue today; my phone is an LG G6 ThinQ on the T-Mobile network. I've tried all the suggestions in this thread except a factory reset (which someone mentioned didn't work anyway). I had done no recent app updates prior to getting this popup (auto-updates are disabled). I've cleared the data from com-lge-ims-rcsprovider multiple times, but still receive the pop up.

So glad I found this forum! Hope we can find a solution so I can use my phone again
 
2 LG G6 TMobile phones just started getting this message at our house 8AM PDT. I did factory reset, turned off Wi-Fi calling and Volte. Didn't help.
 
LG G7 ThinQ here with Tmobile. Problem started earlier this morning for me. My father has the same phone but has not yet experienced the issue.
Tried the various solutions presented, but no luck yet. I am still able to make and receive calls and text messages. Tmobile appears to be aware of the problem but who knows how quickly they will work on a fix...
