Unknown app "10252"

I was recently looking at my data usage in the settings menu and noticed an app I have never seen before. Does anyone know what the one that says "10252" is? I have no app by that specific name and there is no way to go to the app settings by clicking on it from the usage menu.

I looked through all my apps in the app manager and it is not listed in any slide eg. Running, downloaded or All. If anyone knows what this is I would appreciate it.

The only data it uses is background data, which I have subsequently turned off.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Massive battery draining by an app that showed up as Android 10163 ! What is it?

Welcome to Android Central! Since it's an app you uninstalled recently, that listing should disappear after one or two more battery charge cycles.

Welcome to the forums. Those 10xxx names usually refer to apps that were uninstalled recently. Where are you seeing them, battery, data or memory stats?

I would recommend you to create an account so you can reply on this thread.

Welcome to Android Central! From Google Translate:

"Why application 10199 appears as restricted and is number 1 in data usage

This application appears to me since November 30 as the first in data use, being deactivated from February 28 to March 29 and then it reappeared I do not know what function it has and it does not let me uninstall the application since it does not appear as existing Until I check data consumption"

Which phone? Apps that have a name in the 10xxx format refer to an app that has been uninstalled. The data usage only represents the data used by the app before it was uninstalled.

Have you uninstalled any apps recently?

Welcome to the forums. Have you uninstalled recently any app? Those 10xxx processes usually refer to removed apps.
Additionally, the data usage being reported is what the app had used during the current monitoring period before you deleted it, and it's not using any additional data. In other words, that entry is nothing more than a place holder and will go away at the start of the next monitoring period.

Re: Que son las aplicaciones 10198 10197 y etc

Welcome to Android Central! From Google Translate: "What are the applications 10198 10197 and etc. It appears to me that these applications use my wifi and I can't find what they will be since I only get the numbers, I have just restored my factory phone and they keep coming out and they use my wifi."

Apps that are shown as "10xxx" in the Data Usage menu simply represent apps that have been deleted. It shows data that the apps used up until they were deleted. They aren't using any more data after they were deleted, and they should disappear from the Data Usage menu when the data cycle resets for the month.

Re: 10242 is draining my battery and 10237 is using my data!

Welcome to Android Central! App names in the 10xxx format represent apps you recently uninstalled. What you're seeing is the data used by the apps you recently uninstalled. They should disappear after another battery charge cycle or two.

Re: 10242 is draining my battery and 10237 is using my data!

I'll third B. Diddy, but additionally point out the data usage will not be remove until the next data cycle. These are not usages current happening, but usages that happened while the apps were installed. Now that you uninstalled them, the usage didn't magically go away and these are just place holders so the charts and percentages add up correctly.
