[MEGATHREAD] What is app 10xxx?

Unknown app "10252"

I was recently looking at my data usage in the settings menu and noticed an app I have never seen before. Does anyone know what the one that says "10252" is? I have no app by that specific name and there is no way to go to the app settings by clicking on it from the usage menu.

I looked through all my apps in the app manager and it is not listed in any slide eg. Running, downloaded or All. If anyone knows what this is I would appreciate it.

The only data it uses is background data, which I have subsequently turned off.

Welcome to the forums. Those 10xxx processes usually refer to apps that were recently uninstalled and they show the data they used on the actual cycle while installed. They should disappear in your next data cycle.

Welcome to the forums. Those 10xxx numbers usually refer to apps that were uninstalled recently? Is this your case? Full charge your phone and see if they still show up on your next battery cycle.

Unknown app/process(10106) draining battery.

This particular app is draining my phone battery so much. What is it? And what should i do? This 10106 is not even active in background and has zero active usage time but it still consumed 13 percentage of my phone battery what should I do?

Have you recently uninstalled an app?
Try charging fully and see whether that fixes it.
Tell us if no go.

On my s8 ( nougat 7 ) UID no. 10106 refers to an app called CNN for edge panel. I would say usage would be more along the lines of your internet connection even though it's running background free. You check app settings. Force stop app see if it makes a deference. You could also limit data usage as well.

I was looking at my wifi usage on my samsung 9+ and I have a random app called 10047 that has used 104B in the background, anyone have any idea what that is?

Welcome to the forums. That WiFi usage probably refers to an app that was removed in that cycle. Had you recently uninstalled any app?

I uninstalled android auto, and reinstalled chrome and google I'm sure it's probably nothing but i can't find anything online about it and would like to be sure, i also already have a slot for apps i deleted but i guess it could be left over from that as well.

Probably because you uninstall that app , looks like nothing to worry about

Thanks for registering. Usually those 10xxx refer to apps that were already uninstalled. Nothing to worry about, it should disappear on your next cycle, after September 5th.

Those 10xxx names usually refer to apps that you uninstalled recently. They should disappear from the status in your next data cycle.

Hello, I was checking the data consumption of my cell phone, and I found eighteen "Apps" that consume data, none have a name, only have numbers.

and they are these:

10193 consumption 519 KB

10190 consumption 132 KB

What is this about? or are they some kind of malware? I would very much appreciate your responses, thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! Apps in that list that start with "10xxx" are typically apps you recently deleted -- it's showing you the last amount of mobile or wi-fi data those apps used before you deleted them.
