[MEGATHREAD] What is app 10xxx?

Unknown app "10252"

I was recently looking at my data usage in the settings menu and noticed an app I have never seen before. Does anyone know what the one that says "10252" is? I have no app by that specific name and there is no way to go to the app settings by clicking on it from the usage menu.

I looked through all my apps in the app manager and it is not listed in any slide eg. Running, downloaded or All. If anyone knows what this is I would appreciate it.

The only data it uses is background data, which I have subsequently turned off.

What are these apps named 1031, 1035, etc, only show up in my phone's mobile data usage sections?

I just randomly checked my phone's mobile data usage and found this apps named like 1035 ,1031,1034 their are many such apps and they have data usage of like 400mb+ in a month what are this app?I don't get it what exactly is this ?am I infected?

Sounds like either uninstall apps or hot spot activity

Here are the screenshots, it's not the only app there are many like 1029,1034 etc all have data usage mostly in foreground

Yeah nothing worry , did you uninstall apps recently and gave you have used mobile hot spot?


Edit: if you see -5 it's hotspot , so others have to be uninstall apps

Yes I have uninstalled few apps,and sometime used hotspot, but I have never seen anything like it in my previous smartphone

Must showed up in the battery stats there while in use and when you uninstall it didn't have name to recognize so used those numbers, it should disappear next time you fully charge the device.

Removed app are already mentioned and haven't used any hotspot in this time frame so it's still those removed apps?

Yeah sounds like it , like I mentioned once you do next charge cycle should go away , you'll be fine !

Since we are talking about mobile data usage, the numbered apps will stay in the report until the next billing cycle starts.

The data usage report is from 1-31 May,so still need time?and I have rebooted multiple time

You can change your data usage cycle just to be sure. You can jump a few days every time until those processes don't show up anymore, even easier if you remember when you uninstalled those apps. After all these changes set the data usage cycle back as it was.

You don't need to worry too much, as everyone said here all those 10xxx processes usually refer to recently uninstalled apps.

Welcome to the forums. Those 10xxx names usually refer to apps that were recently uninstalled. Did you uninstall any app since your last full charge?

I would recommend you to create an account so you can reply on this thread.
