"Message Not Sent" Notification Spam

I have a Moto X with Verizon that I use Android's default Messaging app to text with. Lately, when opening, closing, or using the app, it will send me a "Message Not Sent" notification in the notification bar every 30 seconds or so, even when all of my texts have sent without problems. I've tried turning my phone off and back on, clearing the app's cache, clearing its data, force stopping the app, and changing my default messenger to something else and then back again, all without success. How can I fix this?
