Message stuck in outbox but no message

[Android Central Question]

I keep getting a message when I open my Samsung email app to say I have emails in my outbox. When I go in there is nothing there. I've tried switching flight mode on and deleting but there is no message to delete?
I have recently updated the app and not sure this has caused the issue
