Android Central Question

Hi,
I've recently, this week, have been experiencing issues with my phone receiving some text messages.
They are coming through as 'information' and not letting me see who has sent it. I know they are from different people but they are all coming through as that. I've searched online and can't seem to find anything that has helped. Ive cleared message cache, updated everything and tried some other things but nothing has worked.
Please let me know if you have any idea how to solve it!
Thank you,
Lottie Shatford

What options do you get if you tap the 3 dot menu button at the upper right?

It says at the bottom that "Sender doesn't support replies." I've never seen that before. Is this the SMS messaging app, or are you using a 3rd party messaging app?

EDIT: I posted right when you did.

It's very strange! The first message I know was my sister and text her back normally and it went through fine, and the the next one was her reply. I've searched all over and can't find an answer!

There's definitely something weird going on with her number. Do any other numbers show up like this?

It might be worth contacting your carrier to find out what this means. Tell them about that "Sender doesn't support replies" message.

The other messages are definitely not from her though. I've been emailing o2 but no one is getting back to me and their phone lines are terrible and are taking hours over the Christmas period. Just very annoying!
I appreciate your help though very much!

Yeah in the UK business texts always say that sender doesn't support replies. Even in Google Messages and Samsung Messages apps. I think it is a UK thing. It looks like her messages are incorrectly coming through as business texts. I would definitely ask O2 about this. It may be an issue her end. What carrier is she with? May be worth her speaking to her carrier as well.
