Messenger: auto correct default out dated for the S7?!!!

My s7 has a very weird problem since it's a s7! The "i" is always a lower case- even when i make a space. There's my case in point. I tried deleting the lower case auto correct below the messenger but it kept doing it. Please help. Its very odd for the latest phone to have a dumb default messenger.

Welcome to Android Central! Is it possible that at some point, you accidentally added the word "i" to your dictionary? Go to Settings>Language & Input and look for the Personal Dictionary option. See if "i" is listed there, and if so, delete it.

Diddy, I'm on Verizon and don't find a personal dictionary ANYwhere in settings.

Replace samsung keyboard with personal dictionary, that's how I get to mine in telus

Did you sort this out? In the Samsung Keyboard, in settings, under Reset Settings it has clear personalised data, I had to do it on mine after saving a wrong word which constantly popped up.
