MHL (microusb to HDMI) cable for Evo 3D

Ditto. Bought it from DayDeal.com p/n-EIAUHUNBE FOR $20 . Watched Green Hornet on 55" VIZIO in 2D, played Angry Birds Rio. Used the side HDMI port and a 15 ft cable from Time Warner. Came with step by step instructions for making the connections. Works great, charged the phone fully while the movie was playing.

Nope, you need a MHL Adapter. EVO 3D has a MHL port, not a micro HDMI port.

I travel a lot and was wondering what kind of picture quality do you get when playing Netflix off your phone through the MHL adapter?

Depends on what is being streamed.
Some of what netflix offers is older programming. case in point, i watch StarTrek DS9, and its picture quality is ok.
Some newer movies and shows are close to DVD content and some closer to HD content..
I watched a few shows and didnt even notice a difference between my Dish Network DVR and what i watched on NetFlix
