mic and headphone jack not working

Okay thanks for the heads up... Ill try to use it often to see if the problem will occur before the warranty is over... In other note, The ok Google feature is not working but everything else is working so far

Mine was doing that as well, on my first device I was able to use a BT headset. The first replacement I received when making and receiving calls I had to talk using the speaker phone option instead of the handset. It was frustrating but so far the second replacement I received 3 days ago so far so good. I just dislike the white face.

i'm having the same issue. After over an hour on hold with Google, I got an email saying it was being escalated. Frustrating...

Okay you were right. the problem occurred on Thursday night and worked Friday briefly. Just got out of the phone with google and they are replacing my phone.

The issue is that I am not in states and I won't be for for a couple months.

Do you think I can send the phone to them directly from where I am? Or do I have to send it to someone and that someone sends it to them?

I went back to an old phone that I have for now. It's buggy but it will do for now.

Honestly, as long as they receive the device within the time period they asked you can send it from wherever. For me they gave me a FedEx return shipping label. Not sure if that would work for you or not.

The beauty of the FedEx label was once it was scanned I received an email from Google saying thank you, we've received your device and clearly I'm just walking out of the FedEx office. So clearly they don't inspect it. Update with what happens

This makes a lot of sense. Because same thing happened to me. Phone was drop around noon and by 4 PM, I received an email that my new phone is getting ship!. I was so confused on how it was done so quickly. Yeah they definitely don't inspect their phone.

but so far no problem with new phone! hope it stays like that... and it's not a new phone. in the email it said it was a refurbish phone.

Alright so I'm going to share my experience since I am completely fed up with this scenario

I had my first pixel for a year, it worked perfectly until this issue happened. When I restarted my phone, it would work for around 5 minutes until cutting off and not working again. So it's obvious that the hardware still worked, then just got cut off. I booked into safe mode and factory reset my phone over 5 times to no avail.
I then contacted my carrier for a replacement which they happily did, and my phone worked. Until I had to update to Android 8.0, where after a week or two. The same issue happened. I didn't install any new apps at the time, and even after booting into safe mode it still wouldn't work. the mic, earpiece, and headphone jack work for a good 5-10 minutes before shutting off.

I am more than confused, and extremely fed up that the same issue has happened to me twice.

Now when I try resetting the phone it has a loading bar for a few seconds like it's updating, then no media at all will play. This also happened on my one year old phone. This is absolute horse ****.
