Micro USB Cable

Is anyone having problems with the stock micro USB charger. It seems like the metal plug is extremely loose on mine. The rubber doesn't seem to be gripping the plug very strongly and the gold pins inside of the connection are able to move around. This causes a bad charge connection for the phone if the cable is slightly pressed up.

The phone hasn't been dropped and the internal connection on the handset is solid - so it appears like the cable is the culprit. Any chance I could get sprint to replace the cable? I have a longer one on the way from Monoprice just in case...

I haven't even unwrapped my cable or charger because I have several microUSB cables from my last phone (Motorola ZN5) and my wife's Hero charger works with the Evo. I just wish they were both the same cable so we could use the same chargers with both phones.

I guess that wasn't a very productive reply. Sorry.

Usually when the phone has been out for a while the sprint store may have a bunch of extra cables, etc lying around from replacements, etc. You might be able to get them to give you a cable from a Hero or some other phoen that should work. The worst they could do is say no.

If the original cable is defective, they'll have no problem replacing it. It's only a few days old.
