I just got my Pixel 9 Pro XL. Kept my number and stayed with same provider (Spectrum on Verizon network)
I followed all the prompts on the Pixel to copy stuff from the Samsung A53 to the Pixel. I essentially selected "everything", which should have included "settings". I assumed.
I still have not checked all my files to validate that.
Here is my concern. I expected the home screen and the folders with app icons to be migrated. Nope!
Certainly, I can do it manually, but that is tedious and time consuming.
Am I missing something? For the process to include the home screen layout?
Thanks!

You're changing brands of device, there are likely several things that will not transfer because it won't be one for one between the devices. Settings and layout are two of the biggest things that would be unequal between the devices. Having said that I found the following.

Pixel's official transfer app is Google Data Transfer Tool. Here is a link to that app. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...usg=AOvVaw0SAVCHvSIqiA2Q5ITpjn8g&opi=89978449

Samsung's tool, SmartSwitch, is reported to work on Pixels as well so you could try that app. Here is the link to that app.

Did you use either of these apps for your transfer? Try the other to see if it's better. Let us know what you find.
