minimized apps don't reopen/launch

I have a Xiaomi 15 running android 16. Sometimes minimized apps don't reopen/launch when tapping on their minimized image. But those same minimized apps will open properly when launched from the Nova app drawer. Rebooting the phone solves the problem, but only temporarily. Any suggestions?

I haven.t tried that. I've been using Nova for years, and android 16 for months. This problem started just a few days ago.

See if it works on the stock launcher. As you may have heard recently, Nova's only real developer has left, meaning no one is really maintaining the app after it was acquired. So it's possible that there's some incompatibility between Nova and a recent Android 16 update that no one ever accounted for.
