MiraCast onto a Computer?

If I gather correctly, MiraCast is a way of Mirroring your Phone / Tablet's screen on another screen via WiFi Direct technology?

If so, I was wondering, would there be anyway to connect your phone via MiraCast to a laptop (for example) and mirror your screen on your Laptop Screen? Obviously you would need something running on your Laptop to communicate with your phone using the correct protocols?

Or am I completely barking up the wrong tree?

I am not certain, but If it could i would this sounds about right but there are other ways to view your phone screen also on a pc.
