Hi,

I just purchased a note 10.1 2014 used from Amazon Warehouse. It was a good deal $260. Unfortunately, the thing arrived with a no sd card port cover and the s-pen is broken, missing bottom half of the pen's cover and button.

I could easily return but might ask for additional discount to cover the cost of replacing these parts. Where can I get a replacement sd card port cover flap. I see Best Buy have a replacement s-pen for $40, anywhere else cheaper ?

Thanks

You can get the replacement s pen for seven dollars on Amazon.

Update: the black one is $10, and the white one is $12

Thanks.

Any thoughts on where I can get a sdcard port cover flap ?

Demand one from Amazon warehouse. They should have indicated that the units are missing or broken before you closed the sale. Ditto for the spen. It should at least be complete in outer appearance.

They offered my 20% off the price I paid $258. I believe they should offer me more, I am not experienced with Amazon on these things, Thoughts anyone ?

You already got it below half price of new (retail) unit....

%20 of $258 dollars is $51.60.... Think you ought to be real happy with that refund/discount.... And not whine and be quite thankful of their generosity...

Thank you .... at this rate it might be going back... and here is why... So I have purchased a new s-pen, Staples have them on sale for $15 each and book cover for $30. But it looks like the old s-pen parts are stuck in the s-pen holder. Is this something easy to remove ? Or is it a major operation ?

Pop back off, "everything" is accessible, just be sure little lock piece for "S" pen does not pop out and get lost... Its a white nylon piece shaped sort of like a "E" (should be glued in place but mine popped out).......How far does new pen go in till it "stops"...

I haven't opened the back yet, but the pen only goes in as far as the metal piece of the pen. The old pen was split down the middle with plastic missing from the stylus nib to the end of the button.

Done got the half broken pen out. It is normal for pen to slide in and out relatively easily. Looks like it might slide out if I left it in my work bag.

Should be a little groove in "S" pen that locks into a "finger" in channel (little "E" shaped piece you can see with back off)...
