MkBHD Review

Thanks @DMP89145 . A refreshing review I have to say. I definitely enjoy his style, and I was glad to hear all the good stuff in the content of the review. Rational discussion of the screen as well. Good stuff.

I for one felt like his review was a little bias. I feel like if the same exact phone was made by htc it would only be 5mins long, he would call the squeeze a gimmick, and he would be all over the screen.

Well, you're entitled to your opinion for sure. I don't see this review that way at all. Maybe his review just doesn't line up with your opinion of the phone, but I don't think that makes his review biased in the least.

BGR is one of the most Pro-Apple and Anti-Android love-fests that I have ever seen. Their content is almost always biased in favor of apple and IMO cannot be taken seriously for any Android related content. The fact that they are having a field day with it wouldnt surprise me in the least.
If apple was having the possible screen burn in/retention problems BGR would call it a deliberate and say how innovative they are for it.

Really solid review, one of the most trusted reviewers in the business. I still think I'm gonna wait a bit to see if there is a response from Google about all this b4 I proceed.

I hear what you're saying but it's just your personal feelings unless you find it always to be the case. I've found him very fair in reviews for products I've no interest in buying

I think this (as well as many of his others) review of the phone was very well done.

A lot of reviewers threw around the word gimmick when discussing the active edge on the u11. When I first saw it in action i thought it'd actually be a really good way of interacting with the phone, so I'm glad they're giving credit where it's due on the pixels. You're right to an extent though, they could've given HTC more credit for it earlier in the year.

The u11 received great reviews overall though so i wouldn't really say it was slighted.

I think he explained the display issue quite well.

The thing is, it’s most likely a batch-related issue in regards to quality control. When (and yes, I said when, not if) it is ironed out, it’s one less sore mark on a pretty darn good Android phone.

Agreed.

17 minutes is longer than usual for him, but I think he gets to the heart of what's to love about the second generation of Pixels.

Maybe he's turning in to "the tech hipster who likes to film stuff?"

He took the coward's way out in the video. I get it, he has millions of followers and he doesn't want to make anyone mad.
