MKBHD (S8) VS Mr Mobile (G6)

Entertaining. I think they both give the edge to S8 for reasons I agree. But I think they do make fair comments. I stopped by BB the other day to look at both phones again. I still like both phones. You'd think the S8 is the clear choice but not and just find myself on the fence still.

I like the S8 but man the three units I saw still had some tint to it either on the top or Bottom unevenly or around edges and one screen again had burn in. I've seen some sort of burn in from units from 3 different stores. But when you don't look at white background screens and have full color images the screen looks beautiful though. But even though it doesn't have that glossy and brighter looking screen, the LG doesn't have a screen to poo poo at. Looking at sample pics from both the LG can hold its own in resolution and color. Pics of both below. And I can help liking flat screens over curved... mainly cause I think tempered glass will be impossible on the S8 and the G6 will take a glass screen beautifully. Also I give the nod for durability to the G6 too.

A couple of pics from BB yesterday. Prices are dropping big time in G6 too making it attractive price wise too.

A pic of the burn in I saw on the unit at BB. Right under the telephone number. Faint but clearer at the store... it says UPLOAD MODE somthing... odd. The other one I posted elsewhere was "Samsung S8" right in the middle. I know they are demos but they are always running the full demo but can't be in display that long since launch so just surprised to see burn so quick.

I subscribe to them both and like their videos. I personally like Erica's review the most, mostly because I just like her. :D

On a side note I would of kept my G6 if it had 64G of storage but LG being LG always seems to screw something up by thinking 32G is enough. Because of that I have a S8 and S8+. I'll keep them until the Note 8, Iphone8, or LG V30 comes out in the fall.

Completely agree, 64 GB is minimum for flagship phones. I don't care if you have 32, 16 or whatever but at least provide options for higher storage capacity. I do have a G6 as well but would have considered not even buying S8+ if G6 had 64 GB storage and little better front facing camera.

Definitely 2 of the best YouTubers. Great comparison. Too bad Aaron Baker wasn't doing phone reviews anymore... Maybe next video can be a three way comparison with Flossy Carter. That'd be interesting....lol

I would pay for that!

Floss is right up there with Michael and MKBHD. Definitely my favorite three reviewers. All entertaining and informative in their own unique ways.

Great comparison. MKBHD's production quality is next level. I'm more convinced than ever that I made the right decision too.

I had the G6 for a week and there were some huge flaws. For one, it only had 32GB of internal storage. I though it'd be enough, but it wasn't. Another major flaw was that the rear camera glass on the black model scratches really easily. I had two scratches on it in less than a week, even while it was in a case and that's unacceptable. The rear camera was great in sunlit areas, but it was only average in low light. The front-facing camera was just terrible. The S8s are clearly the better devices.

Now if we could only get them to tell us which screen protector to use that actually works (with cases).
