MMB29K (6.0.1) on AT&T - does it work?

Re: MMB29K (6.0.1) on AT&T - does it work?

I have an AT&T-locked Nexus 6 with 5.1.1 (Build LMY48Z). I've seen links to several different how-to's on the internet for upgrading an Nexus 6 from 5.1.1 to Marshmallow. Since the folks on this thread seem to have had the most success with this process, can I request somebody to please post a link to a reliable site that provides instructions to do this upgrade?

Thanks in advance.
The real issue is that the Z build doesn't have an OTA path that I've been able to find. They're usually specific to the version you're moving from.

I personally flashed the first build back in Oct which was mra58k. If I were flashing today I would go straight to mmb29k.

The first step of getting past the Z build you have isn't without issues unless you don't care about wiping your phone. Otherwise you need to backup texts and other things...

The first question I have...can you onlock the bootloader on that specific Nexus 6? If you can, then going to 6.0.1 (MMB29K) is easy. Something you must keep in mind that as soon as you unlock the bootloader, everything on your phone will be erased (apps, data, pictures, blah, blah, blah). Make backups of your stuff. How you do that is up to you (nandroid, Helium, etc).

Once you've decided to commit to flashing the new image, I would use NRT (Nexus Root Toolkit). Yeah, using ADB is the "right way" to do it, but if you want a more painless process, NRT is the way to go.

Here is a thread I started a few weeks ago when I decided to go to 6.0 (MRA58R). If you watch the video, it really quite easy. http://forums.androidcentral.com/go...t-tired-waiting-t-installed-mra58r-my-n6.html

I also responded to another post over on XDA where I went into a little more detail about flashing using NRT: Update N6 AT&T to Marshmallow? | Nexus 6

Going from 5.X to 6.X, I wouldn't consider the "No Wipe Mode" available in NRT. Start from scratch. You'll have a much better performing phone if you do.

On 6.0.1 for 24 hours now, other than the weird waiting on LTE to kick in, no problems. I really don't know what the LTE thing is about, I had to try a few different things to get it back, airplane mode, reboot, clear cache, finally on the 3rd airplane mode reset it came back to LTE.

I've noticed that Doze is not working at all on my AT&T N6 running 6.0.1

I've confirmed this over the last few days on my device and see posts from tech bloggers about broken Doze in 6.0.1

Such a shame too, worked perfect when I originally flashed 6.0, but broke since then on a few builds. I've FDR'd my phone a few times also.

Doze seems to be working fine for me.

Last night,I went to bed around midnight and my phone was at 91%. This morning at 8:30, it was at 87%.
