I switched form original droid to TB. One thing i have noticed that when i go to share a picture through messages it is now sending over as a slideshow.... Is there any way to change it to just the image?

Great question, I was sent a MMS today and it was a 1-slide slideshow. I kept opening it because I thought I was missing something.

Yea I thought this was an odd way to handle it too. But you can pause the slideshow if you want - just tap on the screen when you open the mms. Before the picture closes (you have 5 seconds) tap the screen and then tap the pause (middle) button. It'll stay there for as long as you like and you even have the option to save the mms (button on far right).

Thats rather annoying to have to press pause - this slideshow feature is garbage - should be a way to have it as a regular mms.

Same problem here. It's a known issue that supposedly is fixed with Gingerbread. In the meantime I've been using Handcent and GoSMS which are much sleeker texting programs as it is.

This "feature" has been around for a while on all HTC android phones, other manufactures have the same issue BUT like on my Droid X I was able to long press on the picture in the MMS and select view picture and it did not go through a slide show or if I tapped it just to open it in the MMS it would go through the slide show. Not sure why HTC can't do the same thing in Sense.

The other three things I miss from my Droid X that the Thunderbolt doesn't do is the ability to rotate the pictures by pressing two finger on the picture and rotating them in the direction you want to rotate the picture in. Also, the Droid X has a built in picture editor to crop, resize, contrast, brightness etc all from the menu of the picture and finally, if I am viewing a picture on my Droid X and press the menu key it gives me an option to share the picture with Text, facebook, etc. In the Thunderbolt, you have to close the picture and get to the album section where you see all your pictures, then press the menu button for the share menu then select the picture.....very annoying.
