Mobile data issue after wrong SW update

Not thinking enough ahead of time I had bricked my Optimus V and the only way I was able to get it unbricked was to flash to Sprints Optimus S stock.

I had initially used KP500 to flash LS670ZV9_20.S9_20.P60671.cab, it worked but left me stuck with the Sprint activation screen so I got it back to the Optimus V stock but now the mobile network state is always disconnected. No data but still works for calls and txt.

The settings show the SW Update as LS670V9 but should be VM670V4, everything else looks right.

I attempted the same steps using KP500 but rather used the correct model's cab file. It goes through and it asks for the SN and MEID but after I enter them a screen pop's up requesting "Import File URL" with unreadable text/symbols below. I attempted using the LG link
(http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGVM670/AVGMBK/VM670ZV4_13/VM670ZV4_13.S4_13.P61007.cab) but it failed to work.

Anyone have any suggestions? Or would it be best for me to just return it for a replacement at Best Buy (once they get them back in stock).

The information about how I got out of brick with the wrong software was from this post:

This might be a good post to sticky on what not to do.

What does it say your baseband is?

I'm not 100% sure but I think you need to download QPST. But you need to follow directions and not do silly things. Follow this guide starting with the second "Quote:" http://forum.androidcentral.com/opt...irgin-mobile-prl-61007-needed-enter-help.html

Follow it all the way to step 17 and stop!!!!! Once there, go from tab to tab writing down your phone's current settings and post them here. Make sure not to post your phone number. I'm fairly certain one of those settings has been thrown off. We'll tell you which values you need to change and hopefully that will fix it. Do not just start changing values on your own.

I just went and exchanged it for a new one, I had put enough hours into trying to fix it. If someone figures it out I'd be interested in seeing how though.

Hmmm, all of those are the same for me. I also have "Pkt Dial String:#777" in the data tab. Not sure if this should matter but the NAM name is: "SPG "

On the M. IP. tab:
profile:0, enb:no, nai:, tethered nai:, ha spi:3, aaa spi:2, rev tun:no, home:0.0.0.0, primary:dynamic, secondary:not set, dmu pub:0, mob auth:

Active User:1
Mobile IP Behavior: Mob IP only

And you are sure you are back to the stock firmware? What baseband do you have?

Save all your settings before you change anything!

i try changing the setting but nuttin happens it comes back to old settings

Just to make sure, where you write "MEID", you are placing your actual MEID, right?

Well if your settings are different from this, we at least know what the problem is.

So you press "write to phone" and then after your phone restarts, the settings are back to what they were when you press read from phone?

Hmmm, you can try deleting the profiles, seeing if that sticks, and then entering the correct profiles. I tried searching, but I couldn't find anything that relates to this type of issue. The best solution would be to find and flash an official firmware from VM.

I tryed to flash cab but get error (fatal error) dont kno y

What was the last firmware you flashed successfully? I'm talking about the cab. Can you link me?

I tried fiddling around the cab files but there wasn't anything obvious. Have you tried adding a profile 3 and 4 with the correct settings? Then you can set 3 at the active profile. I'm really at the end of what I know about this stuff. Sorry.
