Modifying an existing app

[AC Question]

Hello,

Can someone explain me what or how to modify the app available
Android_USB_Serial_Monitor_Lite
so that it only displays every second character in a textbox instead of displaying all the received characters.When the this app is used on samsung mobile phone having android 4.3 jelly bean, it is continuously showing all the received characters(received data has this format:two characters,carriage return,linefeed.

How long did you wait for the reply? Sometimes you have to be persistent and email them a few times.
