Moisture detected when using hdmi cable?

Sorry if I seem a bit of an it dinosaur! But I have been using an hdmi cable from my Samsung phones for ages so I can watch bt sport and sky sport apps on my TV. My Samsung S7 now keeps saying 'check your port moisture detected' whenever I connect it. Never been near moisture! Really frustrating has anyone else had the same issues and ideally have a solution? Thanks in advance

Try another cable maybe?

How are you attempting to connect? My understanding is that the S7 is not MHL compatible (Samsung stopped supporting connections to HDMI via the USB port beginning with the S6).
