More phone woes...what should I do?

I just got the first thing finished and formated the SD card. Now Im putting superclean 2.9 on. I hope lol.

cwm? I did Odin the same way I did it before. I screwed up didnt I? Im using Odin to do the 2.9 now. It looks almost done.

cwm is recovery. you didnt screw up, you jsut didnt do it the way i said. no biggie. lets see if this works. if not, then we can go from there.

Ok the market hosed me up for a few mins. It was trying to install a million things at once. Had to cancel them all.

So I called myself and that worked. Sent myself an SMS and that worked. Was going to send myself an MMS but the camera wants me to update the firmware. Do I take:
#1 -Phone/CAM FW VER Check
#2 - Phone FW Ver check
#3 - Phone to CAM FW Write?

Oh and what are the icons at the top of the notification thingy? I know the Wifi and the Bluetooth. What are the others? Im afraid to click them and find out! lol

Ignore the camera thing. I found it in a post. Knew I remembered reading it last time. Its updating now.

Edit again: I got the camera thing working. MMS is fine. My about phone says:
Firmware: 2.2.1
Baseband: S:i500.04 V.EB01
Kernal: 2.6.32.9
Build: SCH-I500.EB01

Sound good?

Hey melissa, the market was trying to download all your apps at once. It is a new feature of Froyo. It's a novel idea, problem is though it tries to download and restore ALL your apps at the same time rather than one after the other. Really screws things up. Hit the menu soft key and go menu=>settings=>privacy and uncheck automatic restore and everything will be fine after that.

i like it. i wish there was a way to exclude individual apps from though. its all or nothing. i usually let my phone sit for about 20 minutes after a new rom so it can do all the updating. i can understand not wanting it on though.

I think it's a great concept. Automatically restore all your apps without having to go into a separate program. They just need to fix two things: 1) Give you the ability like you said of excluding apps you decided you don't want to restore; and 2) Make it like titanium where the apps restore one right after the other instead off all of them at the same time.

That must be DI01 all in one package. If dan thinks it will format every thing as well as what I was saying then give it a shot. My method only takes about 30 seconds though.

no the download i gave her to use was the EB01 fix all you cant really use cwm to format the phone, it will wipe your phone of data partition and cache partition but it leaves everything in tact

the fix all packages overwrite all 10 of 12 major partitions, except the pit file, which we even have that but thats just mapping for the other partitions but odin already knows where to put everything (unless you flashed another phones firmware). And the EFS which is unique to everyones phone and you dont want that overwritten because then your phone will never be recognized by verizon again unless you have a successful backup of that partition , but i wouldnt recommend playing with that .

its been in our stickys since feb 1st, its just not called a fix all, we just use that term because it well, fixes all...
