This might be the most expensive phone, yet item (besides my car) ever purchased. S8+ including the immersive bundle was a little over $1000. Do we expect prices to continue rising with phones? Is this your most expensive phone? I think it's somewhat fair, probably too expensive for some.

I think if I factor in the exchange rate and the relative costs of UK vs USA items, my 7 Plus was the most expensive phone I have ever bought as I bought it in the UK when I went back last year. My S8+ I bought in the USA, where I now live and tangible items are cheaper here (services and intangible service contracts are WAY more expensive here in the US).

This is definitely the most expensive smartphone that I have ever owned as until this year that I only paid the two year contract price on AT&T.

It is the most expensive phone I've ever purchased ($850) just because the Note 7 was $849 lol

Thinkin the iphone 8 is rumored to hit $1,000 this fall. Would also expect the Note 8 to get in that $950-$1,000 range as well.
But yes, the S8 line will be the most expensive for me.

As an iPhone users as well. No lol

At most, I'll end up paying $300 for it. Once the Note 8 comes out, this gets traded in. T-Mobile Jump keeps me in new phones.

The S6 Edge 64 GB was actually more expensive than the S8 because both the edge screen and the higher storage were extra. Now that the regular S8 has a curved screen and 64 GB, I don't need to pay a premium (especially since the S8+ is way too big for me).

I'm not getting the S8 but I like the conversation. The most expensive phone I have ever bought is what I typing on now, my Pixel 128GB directly from Google! $797 with tax.. It's replacing my HTC M8 I got for FREE with trade in from T-Mobile.. I had my M8 over 2.5 years and is currently my back up.. I am going to push my Pixel further to 3 years minimum!

Personally as I prefer not to be locked into a contract I always buy my phones sim free at full retail price.
Being into iPhones I'm used to paying premium prices ;)
No bloatware was allowed on the iPhones so to continue with that I'll buy my phones from Samsung. I'm in the UK and the s8 will be approx £80 more than my s7 edge.

Well i got mine free after two year commitment but my situation is unique.

Yep me to and sold it 5months latter forv$600 bad investment on my part just couldn't deal with ios anymore

If money was the main concern then you could have gotten an s7. Of course i realize most want the latest and greatest, but then you gotta pay to play...
